What you will do

The Technical Team Lead (TTL) will supervise, coach and mentor a team of 12-15 truck based team members as well as perform HVAC & Chiller Mechanic activities.

The Technical Team Lead (TTL) must be a skilled craftsman in their trade and have a minimum of ten (10) years actual, practical working experience in the HVAC mechanical and chiller equipment service industry. Interaction with customers, ability and desire to help develop mechanics, attention to detail while on site and in quoting jobs, scheduling, promoting safety and constant communication plays a key role in this position. Must be computer literate and tech savvy and have the ability to develop, close and manage all types of quoted work.

How you will do it

  • Lead, coach, mentor and develop a team of HVAC Service Mechanics.

  • Cascade corporate policies, requirements and expectations to the HVAC Service Mechanics.

  • Assist in developing HVAC Service Team solutions and business development plans.

  • Diagnose HVAC and chiller equipment and system issues using your industry training and experience.

  • Perform HVAC and chiller diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, installations and commissioning of equipment and systems per contractual agreements with the customer.

  • Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, instrumentation, computer hardware and software.

  • Maintain vehicle stock of inventory, company equipment, and document all service-related activities (including report writing).

  • Determine parts required and place orders.

  • Ability to be On Call and to work overtime/weekends as required.

  • Adhere to safety standards, local codes, and national codes.

  • Execute work with a high degree of regard to employee, subcontractor, and public safety.

  • Understand the customer(s) needs and communicate with them regularly to provide value added information in a timely manner.

  • Communicate with the customer upon arrival and departure of the site

  • Complete site specific report documentation prior to leaving the site.

  • Develop service quotes utilizing Johnson Controls software, policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
