What you will do

Under general supervision, conducts preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of HVAC Automation Systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems). Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on site, customer interface. Mentors mechanical technicians on building automation activities. Properly completes required project and service documentation.

How you will do it
1.Diagnoses and repairs complex electronic control system malfunction's requiring extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems and ability to test and write modifications in multiple languages of systems software.
2.Provides sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings.
3.Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction. Meets regularly with customer to become familiar with operating problems. Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and/or repairs. Promotes the sale of add-on work.
4.Manages assigned work to meet professional execution, of time and customer satisfaction. Reports problems or changes to management immediately. Interfaces with branch manager, service manager, service project manager or subcontractors on projects to coordinate activities as required in an ethical and professional manner.
5.Adheres to all Johnson Controls and customer safety standards. Provides safety awareness on work sites.
6.May provide training to customers on electronic control systems operations. Delivers manuals and documentation to the customer for training needs as required. Mentors and trains mechanical workforce on building automation systems. Provides support to the mechanical staff on non-complex, non-critical equipment.
7.Compiles job documentation, such as certificate of completion, customer training forms, training certificates and punch lists.
8.Conducts extensive self study(reading, research and practice) to improve and maintain technical proficiency in company's product lines. Completes certifications as required by the company.

What we look for

Required
1.Vocational School four year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or five years experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
2.Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
3.Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
4.Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
5.Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
6.PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software.

Development and designing the concept, testing, installation, and monitoring of automation processes. Responsible for planning and managing the PM process to support and maintain plant equipment operations. Essential Functions: * Designing, implementing, testing and servicing of a variety of automated systems * Program, configure, test, and commission PC and PLC systems. SLC500 & 5000. * Develop and execute complex process control system integration projects and generate schematic diagrams, panel layouts, and bill of material. * Create software for OEM partners and integrated software solutions that meet customer requirements. * Direct and oversee the maintenance of programs for PLCs and PCs coordinating with Process Engineers, Project Engineers, Design Engineers, Information Technology staff, and Production and Maintenance personnel * Work on multiple, diverse project simultaneously * Perform functional tests of machinery * Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving on machinery and control systems * Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide knowledge and counsel to others * Ensure project designs comply with engineering principles and regulatory requirements * Utilize CMMS (Maximo) to gather information needed by Administration to determine if goals and objectives are being met (including PM WO Compliance, Safety WO Compliance, Environmental WO Compliance, Non-PM WO Efficiency, PM Accuracy, Entry of New Assets as they introduced into the process, Building PM's , Building Schedules) * Complete material Take-Offs (field measurements and verifications of materials needed to do particular jobs using current Chemtrade piping specifications * Procurement of materials from the MTO's * Take orders from maintenance personnel for materials needed to complete jobs * Palletizing of all job tasks materials for jobs to be performed (labeled and stored properly * Place jobs in scheduling pool for scheduling * Coordinate with production/operations for lockout and permitting, shipping if it involves tank cars, railroad, or truck loading, and maintenance * Track orders and costs associated with certain jobs. * Utilize Microsoft Project to build schedules for both short shutdowns and turnarounds working closely with the leadership within the facility * Coordinate with supervisors on job priority establishing priority levels for the jobs that need to be completed and materials that will be needed to finish the jobs * Act as back up for Maintenance Supervisor when needed * Committed to providing a safe food product * Works within all regulatory requirements * Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirements * Perform all other related duties as required JOB QUALIFICATIONS: * Degreed in Advanced Control Systems field with 5+ years in and industrial environment * Strong knowledge of electrical engineering design in the field of industrial automation, troubleshooting and servicing.
