Airtron Heating and Air is looking for a Safety Coordinator to join the Dallas team.

JOB SUMMARY: Coordinates the implementation (and associated follow up) of the Airtron accident prevention program to eliminate accident causes at the division. Coordinates injury response and assures the appropriate care is provided to employees injured on the job. Coordinates the management of sub-contractor safety, and that of visitors at large. Acts as the technical resource to management in OSHA regulations, fire code, and transportation safety.


  • Implements the company safety program throughout the division).

  • Insures that annual divisional safety goals are developed, approved and acted upon.

  • Provides direction and support to line management as to their involvement and enforcement of the location safety policies and procedures.

  • Develops administrative systems to manage injury trends, and compliance issues.

  • Develops and / or enhances management safety committee.

  • Prepares monthly reports on division activities.

  • Co-ordinates the safety training initiatives of the affected division so as to assure regulatory compliance and enhance employee work practices.

  • Establishes employee communication systems to assure employee awareness of accident trends and associated safeguards.

  • Provides technical support to all levels of management on safety compliance and OSHA regulations.

  • Assists supervision in completing an injury analysis on all incidents, and personally conducts the analysis of all serious injuries, fatalities, and other occurrences as requested.

  • Analyses the quality of incident analyses, and provides feedback as necessary.

  • Manages fire protection systems throughout the affected division.

  • Develops budget information on an annual basis for the approval of management, and tracks safety spending monthly.

  • Establishes professional relationships with area OSHA officials.

  • Assures follow up on all worker compensation issues affecting location employees, and prepares reports associated with same as needed.

  • Assures completion all required regulatory documentation on a timely basis (i.e. OSHA 300 logs, etc.).


  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Responsible for leading the divisions HSES

  • Good knowledge and understanding of ISO14001

  • Responsible for Fleet and safety training.

  • Complete Job site inspections, reporting and analysis of accidents.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

VIEW JOBS 7/9/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-10-07T00:00 Construction Project Safety Coordinator Manages project specific safety and health issues to ensure protection of Haskell employees, contract partner employees, client personnel, and the general public. Evaluates and coordinates project activities to comply with rules, regulations, and policies applicable to project safety. Responsibilities/ Duties: 1. Participates in safety pre-planning and hazard analysis for project with the project superintendent. 2. Initiates and monitors project drug screening procedures. 3. Conducts safety orientation and training process for all employees and contracts partners upon of arrival on site. 4. Conducts all necessary safety training for an assigned project. 5. Participates in the enforcement of The Haskell Company Code of Safe Practice throughout the project. 6. Supports project superintendent in safety efforts. Provides inspection and correction audits to the superintendent on daily basis for his action with employees and contract partners. Maintains follow-up procedures for ensuring all items identified are corrected in a timely fashion. 7. Should hazards classified as imminent danger be identified, stop operations and protect others from the hazard. Contacts project superintendent for immediate correction. Verifies training of those involved in the generation of the hazard. 8. Communicates with the assigned Regional Safety Supervisor (RSS) on all project safety issues. Performs monthly Safety Evaluation Report (SER) with the assistance of the RSS. 9. Participates in pre-construction and subcontractor meetings to discuss/review safety related issues prior to commencement of their work and be aware of project particulars. 10. Conducts weekly safety meetings with all project employees. 11. Enforces safety rules per established disciplinary action guidelines. 12. Maintains required employee training records and all project safety documentation. 13. Administers all record keeping and reporting guidelines as required by regulatory agencies and company policies. 14. Conducts accident investigations and assist project superintendent in the prompt reporting of incident/accident. 15. Inspects and maintains safety equipment. 16. Issues confined space and "hot work" permits as required. 17. Accompanies any (authorized outside entities) personnel on safety inspections. 18. Performs additional assignments per supervisor direction. Education/Experience: * Minimum of two years of experience in the construction industry. Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications Etc..: 1. Complete OSHA Course #500 a definite plus. 2. Employee should be able to have a thorough understanding of and the ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulations. 3. The ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures. 4. Good interpersonal and communication skills required. 5.
