Florida Air Conditioning and Heating Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Installer.

*Commissions are based off of efficiency

Job Summary:

It is the responsibility of the Installer to install HVAC systems and any other related HVAC components correctly and in a timely manner.

Job Duties:

-Work safely following company policies

-Install HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer’s

specifications

-Wire both line and low voltage to heating and cooling

equipment

-Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units,

including soldering and brazing

-Install sheet metal, duct board and flex duct systems in residential and light commercial buildings

-Properly connect gas lines to heating equipment

-Pre-measure jobs to identify proper materials required for

install

-Receive, verify and load all equipment and materials needed

for each job

-Provide assistance as directed by management

-Properly fill out all paperwork required for each job

-Maintain cleanliness of assigned company vehicle

-Any other assigned duties as directed by management

-Provide technical assistance with the design of HVAC

systems including installations and modifications to existing

systems as well as assists in new installation of systems if

needed

-Properly prepare records and reports describing procedures,

actions taken, and recommended solutions

-Keep appointments and documentation for company vehicle

maintenance

-Maintain a clean and organized job site

-Keep close records of truck stock use and replenishment

-Maintain respectful relationship with wholesalers, office

staff/service management, Property Management companies,

fellow employees and customers

-Promptly attend all training classes and morning meetings

-Provide accurate and timely reports of time cards

Job Requirements

-Preferably 5 years’ experience installing

-Must have a High School diploma or equivalent

-Must be able to properly use company provided tablet

-Must be able to pass background check and drug test

-Must have valid driver’s license with a good driving record

-Effective written and verbal communication skills

-Excellent customer service and problem solving skills

-Honest and dependable

-Mechanically inclined

-Able to distinguish between different HVAC equipment

-Self-Motivated but able to take direction and be part of a team

-Professional Company Image

Physical Requirements:

-Able to safely lift up to 100 lbs.

-Able to tolerate temperatures above 100 degrees for extended periods of time

-Able to work overtime, nights and weekend hours when

scheduled

-Able to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or

crawl

-Able to easily get in and out of company vehicle and

comfortably sit for extensive periods of travel time

We are looking for skilled HVAC Technicians to lead the effective, efficient, and timely delivery of our line of services. HVAC Technicians are mobile and use multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, locksmith, painting and roofing for a wide variety of customers in an assigned geographical territory. Technicians are provided a company van, tools and equipment. Technicians are based at their home address and access their daily route through a company provided iPad and iPhone. We offer opportunities for skill development through on the job training as well as professional training and education programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -- * Install replacement equipment and parts per manufacturers specifications to honor manufacturers warranties; complete HVAC preventive maintenance in accordance with established standards; troubleshoot, Analyze and repair HVACR malfunctions in accordance with EPA established standards * Completes preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements. Self performs the following duties in compliance company procedures, regulatory requirements and safety standards. * Performs minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems (e.g. unclog toilets and drains, repair leaks in drains and faucets, replace toilets and faucet fixtures as needed, etc.). * Performs routine painting, carpentry work, etc., as necessary to maintain our Client's facilities in like new condition (e.g. repair a hole in dry-wall, prep the area, and match the paint to present a uniform and original like new appearance). * Performs minor electrical maintenance as allowed without a license within state law requirements (e.g. repair or replacement of fixtures, wall switches, and outlets. Replace light bulbs, ballasts and sockets if necessary). * Completes service inspections and asset inspections as needed. * Fully utilizes technology (tablet, smartphone) to: * Access and complete work orders including notes on services provided. * Create and submit Service Reports and Quality Inspection images and reports. * Submit timesheets, expense reports, and purchase card logs * Obtains necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks. * Creates a positive climate with the client, provides and generates customer satisfaction. Maintains timely and consistent communications with customer and internal support teams. * Obtains and completes EFS required safety and compliance training and attends weekly safety meetings * Provides estimates for larger projects and services needed to onsite customer * Completes other duties as assigned or required Qualifications: -- * HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc), or Specialty Floor Care, preferred. * Two to five years mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry required; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience. Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described including related work experience in one or more of the building trades. Past background in the landscape, janitorial or construction-related services industries highly preferred. * Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and valid driver's license in good standing. EPA Universal. * Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations. * Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and communicate work order status via designated business process. * 5 - 10 years HVAC experience working on commercial or industrial HVAC equipment /systems. * EPA universal refrigeration license. Specific license and certification requirements listed in Service Level Agreement * Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations. Knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems. Basic mathematical abilities in all units of measure. Read blue prints and technical schematics as well as specification manuals. * Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and communicate work order status via designated business process. * Ability to use and operate handheld device and business systems or document management Database software, including but not limited to Microsoft office, Lotus Notes, MS office (word, Excel). * Comply with all applicable codes, regulation, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety. Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. * Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. * Maintain adequate knowledge of and comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and Company safety policies at all times. * Experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. * Daily local travel between properties.
