HVAC Controls Technician

Achieves successful on-site installation and troubleshooting of complex DDC control systems. You will follow detailed work instructions and amend any outdated or incorrect instructions with help of Engineering teams. You will interface with customers and contractors to install our client's Building Automation Systems for HVAC equipment for new competitive construction and retrofit projects. This includes project startup and commissioning.

Previous BAS programming experience is a plus.

Working knowledge of standard communication protocols such as Bacnet, LON and Modbus as well as 3rd party equipment integration experience is a plus.

Selected individuals must have at the minimum a basic IT knowledge.

  • Startup and commissioning of complete Building Automation Systems.

  • Work closely with our installation subcontractors and coordinate work with them to ensure projects are completed on time and per code, standards and contract requirements.

  • Perform a point to point checkout and sequence testing per standard procedures .

  • Perform software/hardware calibration required for proper equipment and system

operation.

  • Complete project commissioning documentation.

  • Maintain ongoing project asbuilt documentation.

Be the face of Honeywell to the customer and interact directly with end-users

Use knowledge of end-to-end delivery of Honeywell solutions to enhance efficiencies

Become a technical expert for complex Honeywell solutions/product offerings
30 Inspect for Quality 40 Install or Repair Work Orders 30 Provide Customer Support

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma, or GED
  • 3 or more years of experience in the field of BAS

  • Previous technical/installation experience

  • Previous customer service experience

  • Good written and oral communication

  • Ability to follow instructions and identify mistakes

  • Bachelor degree or technical/professional certificate

You will assist with install, service and troubleshoot of Building Automation systems for commercial buildings. You will work with DDC controls. You will also learn programming of such systems. You typically work under direct supervision and may work without supervision. You will follow detailed work instruction and escalate any discrepancies in customer requirements, blue prints, or work instructions. You will identify, escalate, and explore opportunities to improve the installation or repair procedures. You will escalate any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment. You will support the training of the customer on proper usage for complex systems.
