What you will do

The HVAC Branch Construction Sales Manager owns the Systems and Equipment sales business by executing account management strategies that facilitate long-term customer relationships with targeted customers. Plans, forecasts, lead and deliver consistent long-term profitable branch growth. Develops and advises the Systems sales force to be the world-class supplier of all HVAC offerings (i.e. HVAC controls, HVAC equipment) across all building types. Responsible for actualizing strategies, sales planning, sales pipeline management, salesperson development/training and sales activity consistent with the JCI Sales Management Disciplines. Through active leadership participation in the local community and professional organizations, maintains an understanding of the business environment (i.e. legislative, purchasing, and market trends).

How you will do it

  • Practices performance management by setting clear goals, investing personal time in employee development, actively mentoring Ensures adherence to Company policies, procedures, and critical initiatives regarding human resource management.

  • Manages account assignments for sales team to ensure secured sales performance to plan.

  • Responsible for top-line growth of revenue as well as meeting growth objectives around gross margin and EBIT. Also responsible for meeting plan objectives regarding trade working capital (TWC).

  • Provides accurate and timely forecasting of sales and the corresponding allocation of sales support resources

  • Increases market penetration in local Systems business by securing new customers and rapidly growing the scope of the existing customer base with owner, architectural engineer and mechanical consultants and contractor accounts.

  • Ensures the development and maintenance of Account Plans with all key and target accounts. Ensuring development of new business and demonstrates an understanding of the various channels in the market and how they inter-relate with the Branch business.

  • Facilitates training and ensures support resources are in place to develop salespersons capable of selling the full scope of bundled offerings available.

  • Develops strategies for the local sales team consistent with Building Efficiency mission and objectives. Understands the business environment of branch markets including competition, purchasing and business trends. Accountable for integration of construction sales team activity within assigned staffing geography.

  • Evaluates Johnson Controls' local performance in customer satisfaction and provides leadership for performance improvement and proactive resolution of issues.

  • Participates as the management team representative on strategically meaningful key accounts. Establishes and maintains personal long-term customer relationships with accounts to influence opportunities.

  • Owns and leads the sales staffing plan for the assigned local geography. Working with the Regional HR and Talent Acquisition team to recruit, hire, and retain Systems and Equipment sales and sales support staff to plan.

  • Ensures compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements and operates the local office with the highest business ethics.

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing.

  • Five to eight years of progressive sales and/or operational experience in building systems, products and services.

Preferred

  • Three years of experience in a lead or supervisory role with responsibility for the efficiency or development of others.

VIEW JOBS 6/25/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-09-23T00:00 What you will do Perform HVAC Control systems programming, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning and preventative maintenance as it is related to mechanical, electrical, and low voltage controls components. Respond to service and warranty calls using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools as well as a variety of hand tools including electrical testing meters and other electronic testing equipment. Provide front line technical and repair support through effective communications with Johnson Controls customers. Provide system repair and or update recommendations and assist in proposing of recommendations to Johnson Controls customers. How you will do it * Loading Johnson Controls field and network level controller software. * Performing commissioning and system diagnostics for all levels of system controllers as well as end * devices (i.e. Sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete all required commissioning documentation. * Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues. * Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment. * Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. * Documents changes and provides information for as-built documentation. * Execute company sponsored as well as personally initiated training to insure the highest level of knowledge and capability are maintained * Engage with customers to fully understand their systems and needs. * Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. * Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety. What we look for Required * Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequence and applications * Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields * Able to use hand, power tools and electrical testing equipment such as a multi meter. * Solid knowledge base in use of personal computers. * Attention to detail. * Good communication and listening skills. * (Depending on location, the mounting and termination of low voltage devices may have special licensing requirements.) Preferred * 5 years experience working with JCI controls (both legacy and current). * System integration experience. * Competitive Building Automation Systems experience.
