The Resource Protection Technician will be involved in a diverse set of projects to improve natural resources management in the Atlanta Management Unit. Some experience in reading maps, using GPS's and conducting scientific field surveys is preferred.
Onsite training will also be provided. The member will be involved in monitoring and assessing damage to state land resources, conduct restoration to damaged areas and other habitat improvement including invasive species removal. Work locations include the Atlanta state forest lands, other public office sites, and a variety of field sites. Most travel will be day travel around the forest and strenuous physical activity will be required.
