Job Summary:
This position is responsible for drafting the Federal Child and Family Services Plan (CFSP), Annual Progress and Services Report (APSR), Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) Statewide Assessment, and CFSR Program Improvement Plan. This position is responsible for compiling related data and utilizing data reports for the CFSP, CFSR and other data. This position will be assigned special projects related to monitoring, measuring, and improving child welfare practice, such as the effectiveness and fidelity of improvement activities, compliance monitoring, and ongoing activities.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties:
Gather detailed information from numerous sources within and outside the Department of Child Safety, synthesize the information, and draft technical reports such as the Federal Child and Family Services Plan (CFSP), Annual Progress and Services Report (APSR), Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) Statewide Assessment, and CFSR Program Improvement Plan under the direct supervision of the Program Administrator.
Complete special projects as assigned by the Program Administrator related to monitoring, measuring, and improving DCS practice, such as the effectiveness and fidelity of improvement activities, compliance monitoring, and ongoing activities.
Assist the Program Administrator in data tracking as assigned and review, compile, share, prepare, evaluate, and interpret data/information from a variety of sources to assess ways to accomplish the agency's goals for safety, permanency, and well-being for children and meet federal data reporting requirements as it relates to the CFSR, CFSP, and other projects for which the section is responsible.
Participate in meetings, committees, advisory groups, and strategic planning activities in order to remain informed of current practice and initiatives impacting DCS functioning and improvement strategies.
Research, read, and interpret Program Instructions and other guidance from federal and other resources related to report or document requirements.
Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; compare data and information from different sources to draw conclusions; and consult with the Program Administrator to choose an action or develop appropriate solutions.
Represent DCS by attending community meetings and work groups as assigned.

Selective Preference(s):
Experience in data reporting, technical report writing, and macro practice, such as agency programs and compliance with state and federal requirements.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Master's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university AND three (3) years of combined DCS Specialist Trainee/DCS Specialist experience/OCWI Investigator/Program Specialist experience OR two (2) years full-time experience from another state or jurisdiction responsible for the CFSP/APSR/CFSR in that jurisdiction.
The ability to secure and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and the ability to secure and maintain clearance from the DCS Central Registry.
