Position Summary

The Human Resource/Talent Acquisition Specialist provides direction and leadership in all aspects of talent acquisitions processes including employment branding, candidate sourcing and selection. The position is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the talent selection process and for making improvements to meet current and future needs of the credit union while aligning processes to trends in technology, search strategies, and evolving candidate needs and preferences.

Pay range for this hourly position is $25.83 - $38.75 with a progressive benefits package.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed, and are subject to change.

Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in carrying out GreenState's mission and vision. Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.

Ensures confidentiality of member information. Plays a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations and/or credit union sponsored events, on an annual basis.

Compliance

Ensures compliance with State and Federal legal regulations concerning employment. Responsible for the proper, accurate and timely completion of regulatory reporting associated with required regulations. Tracks and keeps records of all staff recruitment and sourcing programs and partnerships; reviews billings for accuracy and resolves discrepancies.

Staffing

Develops strategies to promote employment brand and awareness to position GreenState as an Employer of Choice in the communities in which we serve.

Develops, implements, and executes hiring strategy for recruiting diverse sourcing programs to ensure commitment as an equal opportunity employer and with AAP placement goals in mind.

Collaborates with department leaders to develop plans for key staffing initiatives and goals and become a trusted resource and partner.

Identifies trends and make recommendations on staying ahead of the competition in the attraction and retention of top talent.

Promotes and protects GreenState's employment brand and guarantee a meaningful applicant experience.

Cultivates relationships with internal and external customers as well as candidates and recruitment partners.

Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with key faculty, staff and student organizations within local colleges and universities from which we recruit and participates in on-campus recruitment activities.

Develops and leads implementation efforts to proactively attract passive candidates through targeted sourcing and recruiting methods, employee referrals, etc.

Acts as an administrator of GreenState's recruitment social media sites.

Administers and facilitates GreenState's Internship Program.

Develops employment related marketing content and materials on GreenState's website, in collaboration with the marketing team, as appropriate.

Conducts employment interviews and counsels' managers on final hiring decisions.

Coordinates and completes all procedures related to selecting qualified candidates for job openings.

Monitors staff performance evaluation program and makes recommendations for revisions as needed.

Assists in the upkeep of GreenState's HRIS; compiles reports from database as needed.

Monitors our diversity and inclusion efforts in respect to attracting and retaining diverse talent

Maintains confidential personnel records.

Reports monthly staffing statistical information.

Counseling

Counsels managers and staff in the interpretation and application of human resource policies and procedures. Provides career-path guidance to staff.

Training

Coordinates and administers various Credit Union educational programs. Assists in the coordination of staff meetings, training topics, and special events.

Researching

Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department. Researches and works with third party vendors to develop new human resource processes.

Job Requirements/Expectations

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or related field; or equivalent coursework. Minimum two years relevant Human Resource experience in financial services or service related industry.

Ability to effectively evaluate talents, values and attitudes (along with skills and experience) to make appropriate selection decisions. Ability to set clearly defined objectives; plans activities and project well in advance and takes account of possible changing circumstances; identifies and organizes resources needed to accomplish tasks; manages time effectively; monitors performance against deadlines and milestones. Ability to create a positive impression of GreenState Credit Union while responding to candidates.

Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, regulations and statues. Proficiency in a wide variety of personal computer software programs, including the Microsoft Office application suite, ADP, iCims, and graphics software, and desktop publishing programs. A strong working knowledge of local area network directories, protocol and general maintenance procedures.

High scanning accuracy with extreme attention to detail. Excellent demonstrated written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. . Ability to perform under stress when confronted with emergent, critical, unusual situation, or situations in which working speed and sustained attention are critical aspects of the job. Self directed nature, ability to work independent of supervision, and accept responsibility for the direction, control or planning of an activity.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Ability to maintain both a high standard of respect and cooperation in dealing with co-workers. Ability to research, develop and create new programs.

Maturity and discretion to handle confidential information. Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand. Must be bondable.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to the Human Resource Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is not responsible for the supervision of other employees.

This analytical individual will be responsible for the determination and analysis of factors causing individual accounts to be delinquent and/or overdrawn, and the implementation of efforts to successfully resolve these factors through interaction with the account holders, and to minimize their potential for financial loss to the credit union. Efforts will include, but not be limited to extensive telephone, written and person to person communication with and collection of past due, overdrawn and legal reserve accounts. The ultimate objective of all collection activities will be to determine the cause and severity of an account's delinquent and/or overdrawn status, and to establish an appropriate course of action in order to remedy the situation. Collection efforts can include skip tracing, site visits and direct involvement in repossession and foreclosure actions. Credit and financial counseling of past due and overdrawn accounts in accordance with established lending guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Responsible to review all repossession or foreclosure requests to ensure all efforts have been exhausted prior to initiation and referral for action. Escalation of accounts as requested. Pay range for this position is $23.20 - $34.80 with a progressive benefits package. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs essential duties and responsibilities in the following areas which may include, but are not limited to those listed and are subject to change: Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and Service Standards in carrying out GreenState's mission and vision. Demonstrates a positive member service (internal and external) focus at all times, greeting members and guests with a smile and eye contact immediately upon their arrival, using their name or acknowledging them, and thanking them for their business. Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities. Ensures confidentiality of member information. Contacts and confers with members by any means necessary in order to determine the reason for delinquency and/or overdrawn status, and to arrange an appropriate course of action in order to remedy the situation. Makes recommendations for, and implements appropriate action for those accounts that cannot be contacted, or for which satisfactory arrangements cannot be made. Initiates workflow for review of modification, TDR, workout, deferment requests. Maintains and updates member records. Records all communications and all collection activity. Follows-up on past due loans and credit cards and overdrawn accounts; makes reasonable and practical arrangements for interest, partial, or full payments. Performs skip-tracing duties, as required and directed. Takes check net payments over the phone and saves them to the checksnet folder. Takes debit and or credit card authorizations over the phone, prints and processes the transaction and posts to members' accounts. Assists with departmental and/or branch training or job shadowing. Analyzes repossession/foreclosure request to ensure efforts have been exhausted and timelines have been met. Confirmation that cure has expired. Approves and refers to Asset Management or declines and refers back to account resolution with coaching on next steps. Makes collection contacts to delinquent accounts and performs any tasks or duties in order to aid in collection of past due or overdrawn accounts. Escalates accounts for team when requested. Resource for questions and training of new hires. Refers members to financial counseling resources when necessary. Cross-sells Credit Union products and services when appropriate. Plays a vital role in enriching the community by participating in community service organizations and/or credit union sponsored events, on an annual basis. Performs any other duties as assigned. Job Requirements/Expectations Three to five years of collection experience required with reasonable knowledge of collection practices, consumer credit, real estate and bankruptcy laws and regulations, or equivalent credit, deposit, and/or financial counseling experience. Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand. At times length of working day can be unpredictable, must be willing and able to work early and/or stay late with short notice. Must be willing to work Saturday rotation. Ability and desire to interact with co-workers to develop positive and effective working relationships in all areas of Credit Union services. Interpersonal and persuasive skills necessary to gather data from a number of sources and to represent the Credit Union in a positive way during periods of stressful member contact. Ability to work independently prioritize assignments and organize work efficiently, to handle large volumes of details. Ability to make decisions in an authorized area of responsibility without approval from direct supervisor. Accuracy, attention to detail, and strategic thinking required. Negotiation experience. Ability to operate related computer applications and office equipment. Must be registered pursuant to requirements of the S.A.F.E. Act. Must be bondable.
