Sign On Bonus: $1,500

General Summary:

This position has provides comprehensive administrative support for all Human Resource activities within the Human Resources Department in a large lean manufacturing and distribution facility.

Essential Functions:

Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness within their area of responsibility. Support all plant safety policies and procedures at all times.

Responsible for coordination, timeliness and accuracy of plant payroll process. Maintain manual plant hourly attendance tracking program, including reprimands, etc.

Maintain HRIS system to include coordination of all new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, etc.

Collect various forms of employee paperwork such as direct deposit forms, wage attachments, qualified life events, etc. and forward to appropriate Corporate personnel. Benefits administration including annual open enrollment, changes, etc. Administer and maintain tracking systems for various benefits programs.

Assist employees in investigation and resolution of benefits-related issues. Manage all leaves of absence such as FMLA, STD, LTD and Military Leaves of Absence. Participate in new hire process, including coordination of pre-employment testing, managing the new employee on-boarding process, etc.

Maintain employee personnel, medical and training files within records retention guidelines. Provide administrative management for all unemployment claims as needed. Responsible for plant communication process, such as bulletin boards, bi-monthly newsletter, communications monitors, paycheck attachments, etc.

Generate and distribute periodic reports (hours worked, overtime, key metrics, vacation time, month end, etc.) as needed. Actively promote and support all Company programs and policies. Responsible for coordinating employee activities such as Family Day, holiday meals, plant luncheons, biometric screening, plant give-aways, brown bag luncheons, etc. on time and within budget.

Track hourly job certification process. Assist as a liaison for employee relations issues as needed. Maintain active office hours for off-shift coverage, i.e. 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., overtime as required. Other duties in support of the human resources department as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal and skills - ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization Excellent communications skills - ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media - verbal, written, etc. Excellent organizational/time management skills.

Strong degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to provide and sustain a strong level of customer service to the organization. Ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced work environment Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite, Windows-based applications). Experience with HRIS, ADP or other payroll processing software preferred. Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality at all times and in all situations.

Education:

Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. 3-5 years human resources administrative experience, preferably in a large, fast paced manufacturing environment. Previous experience with payroll a plus.
