GENERAL INFORMATION: The Human Resources Technician is a technical position that requires application of specialized knowledge in areas of human resources such as, but not limited to, HRIS, and employee engagement programs.

The Human Resources Technician communicates and maintains programs such as human resources information systems and personnel status transactions. Advancement to this position requires the ability to coordinate, interpret, and apply NCOE's systems, processes, policies and procedures.

Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a high school graduate; able to type with speed and accuracy; pass a general clerical and Excel test.

• The position requires specialized procedural knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures associated with human resources records and human resources information systems, position control and budgeting, recruitment practices, job classification, and related services provided in a human resources department.

• Requires well-developed skills in using a personal computer, common office productivity software, and specialized databases and record keeping software used in education.

• Requires well-developed written language skills to prepare reports for governing board agendas, and to document policies, and procedures.

• Requires sufficient math skills to compute sums, averages, ratios, products, quotients, and variances.

• Bilingual preferred
