The Human Resources Supervisor is part of a collaborative team and reports to the HR Manager. Primary responsibility is to lead and guide the HR Specialist team, provide HR support to senior business leaders, managers, and front line supervisors, administer HR programs and policies, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and provide excellent customer service to employees and business leaders.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Recruitment and Talent Management:
Coordinates and supports the division's performance appraisal process
Assists with salary evaluations, affirmative action and diversity outreach planning
Partners with HR Manager to support visa and immigration related matters
Partners with recruitment team on job descriptions and other staffing related activities
Training and Development:
Participates in division's annual training plan including facilitation of training for employees
Designs new curriculum as needed
Engagement, Rewards and Retention:
Coordinates and administers the divisions global executive merit program
Partners with HR Manager to prepare global executive succession plan presentation
Supports positive employee relations and engagement through safety and wellness programs, survey analysis, benefits communications and recognition programs
Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for continuous improvement.
Oversees the division's new employee onboarding program
Develop and administer employee development and engagement initiatives
Organizational and HR Effectiveness:
Serves as HR subject matter expert to managers
Work in a collaborative manner with the HR team to provide uniform interpretation and application of policies, practices and procedures
Partner with managers to identify high performers, high risk employees and train managers on tools available for succession planning
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Partners with the legal department as needed/required
Participates in global HR continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor and analyze EEO/AAP compliance
Participates in division and Company-wide Six Sigma projects
Participates in development and execution of departmental goals and objectives
Ensures presentations are accurate and complete including quarterly all employee meetings
Mentor and guide HR Specialists
Other duties as assigned
Four year degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
Minimum of 4 relevant years Human Resources experience
Must have a working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Affirmative Action Plans and Worker's Compensation
Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation
Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines
Strong PC skills; Excel, PowerPoint and Word required, SAP and Access
Previous supervisory experience
MBA or Master's degree
PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification
Excellent presentation and facilitation experience
Six Sigma training/certification
