City of Midland Internships are 10 weeks long from June 1st - August 7th, unless otherwise specified by your supervisor.
We are looking for an HR Intern to perform various administrative tasks and support our HR department's daily activities.

Essential Job Duties:
Assist in the construction and organization of City of Midland/ HR policies and procedures as well as job descriptions
Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, careers pages and social networks.
Participate in organizing company events and careers days.
Provide support during the new hire on-boarding process and assist with employee orientation
Gain a better understanding of payroll and benefits processes
Answer phone and greet employees with a friendly demeanor
Responds to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters as needed
Other projects and tasks as assigned.
Physical and Environmental Conditions: Ability to sit, stand, and move about an office department.
Experience with MS Office
Basic understanding of full-cycle recruiting
Integrity, discretion and ability to maintain confidential information
Strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic knowledge of labor legislation
Familiarity with HRIS is a plus
Experience as a Staff Assistant or similar junior HR role is a plus
