Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.

The HR Specialist will provide generalist HR support to our Great Lakes team including employee onboarding, benefits and compensation administration, policy interpretation, employee file maintenance, HR communications, and more. The HR Specialist will regularly interact with all levels of employees in our Minneapolis office, other North America HR teams, and the Regional and Global HR teams.

Bachelor's degree in business, HR or related field strongly preferred
2-5 years of business experience, preferably at a high touch environment with professional staff
Familiarity with federal and state employment and labor laws
Computer proficiency in Windows, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Strong analytical abilities required
Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through is a must; performs tasks with high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
Excellent organization and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines
Ability to handle competing priorities and work effectively in a challenging, fast- paced environment
Recognize and maintain highest levels of confidentiality

Collaborating with the Great Lakes HR team to provide general support for local staff including contributing to on-boarding, leave-of-absence management, off-boarding, and employee relations
Interpreting, implementing and answering inquiries related to HR benefits, payroll, policies and procedures, while ensuring consistency and thoughtfully navigating grey areas
Creating and maintaining a variety of reports and audits for the Great Lakes HR function including attrition and turnover, people movements, form I-9 tracking, and others
Contributing to projects and process improvements for the Great Lakes HR team as needed.
Actively participating in the broader HR community including regional/global initiatives and projects
Other duties, as assigned
You will be working in the Minneapolis office as part of a dynamic Great Lakes human resources team based in Chicago and Detroit comprised of an HR Manager, HR Lead, HR Generalist, HR Senior Specialist, and HR Specialist. As a team, we support 700+ staff, providing on-the-ground support to a growing group of high performing Consultants and Business Services team members.
