Position Overview
The ISP is seeking an individual to serve as the agency Classification Coordinator and Transactions Lead Worker for code transactions, performing complex specialized professional duties in human resources administration. Essential Functions
Under general direction, serves as an agency Classification Coordinator, performing complex, specialized professional duties for the effective implementation of personnel operations in the areas of position classification.

Prepares, reviews, clarifies, establishes, and abolishes job descriptions for positions.
Serves as a designated Lead Worker.
Performs liaison functions with ISP leadership, division liaisons, Labor Relations staff, and all other agency staff, and CMS for the maintenance of the comprehensive programs in the areas of classification and personnel transactions.
Utilizes tracking logs to maintain assigned caseloads of requests, projects, and assignments.
Interprets and provides technical expertise applicable to the state of Illinois personnel program.
Participates in the hiring process.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Specialized Skills
Requires two (2) years of professional human resources experience in a classification field drafting and revising job descriptions and preparing organizational charts.
Requires two (2) years of professional working experience processing personnel transactions.
Requires one (1) year of experience as a lead worker or supervisor.
Requires one (1) year of experience researching complex personnel transactions issues.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of four (4) years of college.
Requires two (2) years of professional human resources experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefers at least two (2) years of professional human resources experience in a classification field drafting and revising job descriptions and preparing organizational charts.
Prefers at least two (2) years of professional working experience processing personnel transactions.
Prefers at least one (1) year of experience as a lead worker or supervisor.
Prefers at least one (1) year of experience researching complex personnel transactions issues.
Prefers at least two (2) years of experience interpreting and applying the Illinois Personnel Code, Personnel Rules, Position Classification Plan, Pay Plan, and Collective Bargaining Contracts.
Prefers at least two (2) years of professional working experience in a human resources office.
Prefers at least two (2) years of professional writing experience ensuring correct grammar and punctuation.
Prefers at least two (2) years of professional experience utilizing software (for example, spreadsheets or electronic calendars such as Microsoft Outlook) to keep track of assignments, meetings, and deadlines.
Prefers at least two (2) years of professional experience interpreting and applying bargaining unit agreements.
