Position Description

The Human Resources Specialist position will be supervised by a Field Human Resources Manager and will function as a Human Resource Generalist.



  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources or Labor Relations is required

  • Minimum of 3 (three) years of Human Resource and Labor Relations experience at a Coordinator or Generalist level is required


  • Candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational, training and negotiation skills.

  • Must have the ability to effectively interact with employees from senior management to the front-line

  • This position will travel approximately 25% of the time


  • Will be responsible for resolving employee concerns and grievances, working with management to resolve employee relations issues, and providing counsel/guidance to management regarding the appropriate application of performance management processes

  • Will assist in recruiting and selection processes as necessary, assist with field training initiatives, support the administration of corporate compensation and benefit programs, and generally work with the field management team to insure a positive and productive work environment

VIEW JOBS 10/19/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-17T00:00 is currently looking for a Human Resources Generalist to facilitate all Human Resources activities in the United States. This role will be based out of our US Distribution Centre in Lockbourne, Ohio. This role is an extension of the Human Resources team based out of the Canadian headquarters, and take its functional direction from the Sr. HR Business Partner located in Canada. Additionally, there is also a dotted reporting line to the Director, Global Warehouse Operations. Accountabilities for this position includes recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and on-boarding of new colleagues as well as tracking, managing and maintaining HR related documentation. In addition, the HR Generalist will work with the Human Resources team to administer benefits programs, develop and enforce company policies, and ensure employee wellness and safety. The HR Generalist will serve as the point of contact for local employees and also play a key role in employee relations by being involved in counseling, coaching, and general communication with staff.
