Our headquarters in Ashburn, Virginia has an opening for a temporary Human Resources Specialist. Job Summary The Human Resources Specialist serves as the employee relations specialist for the North America office located in Ashburn, VA.
The HR Specialist works with managers and staff on employee relations, performance management, and special projects. This is a temporary role covering the period December 2024 through March 2025 (we have some flexibility on start and end dates). There is an opportunity to work either a full-time (Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm) or a part-time schedule. The position is on-site in our office in Ashburn, VA.
Duties and Responsibilities Handles employee relations issues related to performance, HR policies and record keeping. Ensures legal compliance of state and federal employment laws. Ensures company HR processes and procedures are followed.
Assists leadership with investigations, conflict resolution, employee training and coaching Prepares Performance Improvement Plans and coaches managers through performance processes Maintains knowledge of best practices and regulatory changes in human resources and employment law. Helps foster a positive work environment Manages special projects related to HR strategic goals Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Conflict resolution and coaching High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Characteristics High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Must communicate and interact effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization. Credentials and Experience A Bachelor’s degree in a business or related field; with 3 years of human resources generalist experience, including employee relations.
