Job Summary

This is a Project, Full-Time (1.0 FTE) position.The selected candidate willprimarily focus on recruitment and selection, training and development, and HR administrativefunctions.

Some of what you'll do:

  • Perform full-cycle recruitment services for the Department working with hiring managers and supervisors to assess, strategize and support their hiring requirements.

  • Lead recruitment and staffing for the Incident Command Structure (ICS).

  • Work across ICS branches to determine staffing needs and coordination of onboarding.

  • Provide initial screening of applicants to assure they meet the minimum job qualifications, the hiring manager's desired qualifications.

  • Meet with new or existing employees to assure that pre-employment/status change processes and documents are in order.

  • Learn about all aspects of the HR services as part of a customer-centric HR team in order to provide a wide array of HR assistance to department employees.

  • Display a high level of initiative, attention to detail, and follow-through.

  • Advise and guide hiring managers on the new recruitment process.

  • Assist in revising and implementing HR policies, procedures, processes, and forms that support the departments Race, Equity & Inclusion policy;

  • Assist HR team with streamlining the recruitment process along with operationalizing our recruiting policies to be an anti-racist organization.

Who should apply

Individuals who have an Associates Degree with a focus on human resources, business or related field. And three years of relevant experience, which adequately illustrates the attainment of knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies of the job. Equivalent education and experience may be substituted.

Ability to successfully pass a background investigation.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Work Setting:

  • Work is performed almost exclusively indoors in an office environment.

  • Your office will be set up to provide personal safety, including social distancing, screening, sanitation, disinfection, and masks.

  • The potential for dealing with dissatisfied or angry customers exists, requiring skills in conflict resolution.

Business Partner: * Serves as an active business partner and coach to managers and provides guidance on employee performance issues by applying various performance management techniques for conflict resolution. * Provides HR support in the areas of development & coaching, performance management, workplace investigations, developing and implementing management and employee development programs, and implementing effective diversity initiatives. * Influences management decisions by delivering pro-active advice and counsel to leaders, while maintaining integrity with HR policy and practice and seeking creative solutions to problems. * Supports and/or leads the execution of HR initiatives with the direction of the Director/Sr. HR Manager. Leave Administration: * Administer applicable leave of absence policies and procedures for all hourly team members within their designated units. * Support the Operations Team with Leave of Absence Management, specifically with ensuring consistent implementation and execution of Company policies and procedures related to all hourly leave of absences. * Manage all hourly leave of absence requests through appropriate intake methods (i.e. email, direct calls, absenteeism report, etc.) Compliance: * Provides administrative support and participates in Environment of Care compliance. * Create and maintain employee files. Perform audits on personnel records to maintain state and federal standards and regulatory (Joint Commission, DNV, or HFAP compliance). * Works closely with Client Human Resources to ensure our human resources practices align with their requirements including regulatory compliance. Participates in regulatory readiness activities including reporting at time of survey or review. * Tracks annual educational and employee health requirements (e.g., TB test, fit-test, immunizations) and ensures compliance with client/regulatory requirements.
