As a Human Resources Specialist, you will:
Provide expert authoritative advice and interpretive guidance to high level managers, administrative officers, supervisors and employees on regulatory and policy documents such as 5CFR, OPM guidance, Labor Agreements, Departmental operating policy, etc.
Review existing and proposed revisions to Departmental policies, standard operating procedures and guidelines, and makes authoritative and insightful recommendations for changes, modifications, etc., as appropriate.
Review, analyze and comment on new or proposed human resources regulatory issuances, handbooks, procedural guides, etc., which have possible impact on current or proposed HR programs.
Draft and develop procedural guides and standard operating procedures, as requested.
Occasional travel - 01-05 Nights per Month

Time After Competitive Appointment:
Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
