Our Opportunity:

Chewy is currently recruiting for a Day Shift Human Resources Specialistu0026nbsp;for our Fulfillment Center in Wilkes Barre, PA This position is responsible for providing support and analysis on issues, reports and trends from the time and attendance tools. Must be able to work one weekend day (4 x 10 hours).u0026nbsp;u0026nbsp;

What you'll do:

  • Performs various duties necessary for the overall Time and Attendance (Tu0026amp;A) system configuration, administration and maintenance.

  • Oversees and maintains the Tu0026amp;A system for all setups, reporting, auditing and functionality for employees, managers, agency and contract staff.

  • Collaborates Chewy's payroll team on system upgrades, testing and enhancements. Performs a variety of duties necessary for the overall processing on the Payroll system for Chewy.

  • Respond to employee and management questions and concerns regarding paychecks, time reporting and pay policies.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum four years of experience supporting an automated Tu0026amp;A system and payroll operations required

  • Experience with set-up and maintenance, ad-hoc reporting and supporting IT and HR Upgrade Implementation Teams

  • Knowledge of and experience with E.E.O., Wage and Hour, and other state and federal regulations in relation to the payroll process


  • Kronos T u0026amp; A systems experience strongly preferred

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)

This position is responsible for overseeing and managing a Fulfillment Center Human Resources department. Chewy is a growing organization and we need an HR Leader to join our team.u0026nbsp;u0026nbsp; What you'll do: * Lead team responsible for performance management, employee engagement and talent development * Assist management staff in resolution of issues and concerns * Assists with training as needed by training team; owns orientation and onboarding * Facilitate compensation programs. Implement compensation plans supported by the research of local market data for positions, evaluate job levels to ensure compensation programs remain competitive * Administer workers compensation program: investigate all injuries, first aid and near misses, and work with plant management to reduce all three * Recommend/administer discipline when warranted. Assist supervisors/fulfillment center management with disciplinary issues * Handle benefits administration * Develop/update job descriptions, rules, procedures and policies * Participate in facility safety and meetings, including, but not limited to, safety committee meetings and accident investigations What you'll need: * BA/BS required (Business Administration, Human Resources or related study preferred.u0026nbsp; Experience in a similar warehouse environment or a combination of education-training and experience will be considered * 5 plus years in an HR partnership role ideally within a fulfillment or distribution center or busy work environment with proven track record of success * 2-3 years experience managing a HR Team * Proven record of strategic partnerships which enhance the HR experience * Excellent written, verbal, public presentation /communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required * Able to work effectively with a wide range of personnel * Strong employee relations background * Position may require travel Chewy Wilkes Barre PA
