The primary objectives of the HR Specialist are providing support for the Human Resources Department in the areas of Benefits, Employee Relations, Recruitment and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively communicating with employees, serving as a point of contact for general HR inquiries.

  • Participates in all areas of HR including (but not limited to)

  • Recruitment- some full cycle recruitment, screening applicants, passive sourcing, scheduling candidate interviews, processing background checks and various employee on-boarding tasks.

  • Benefits- assist with communications and employee support, open enrollment, projects and reporting needs.

  • Employee Relations- coordination of various employee activities, support performance management and employee/manager counseling situations, process termination paperwork and communications, manage personnel documents.

  • Payroll/HRIS- performs various tasks using HRIS system (entering employee data and terminations, populating various reports, etc.), managing various HR reporting

  • General- Provide overall support to HR Team, support federal and state compliance in all offices, assist with various projects as assigned, department expense reports, employment verification

  • Windows XP Operating Systems

  • Oracle HR applications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 3-5 years' experience working in various areas of an HR department required.

  • 1-2 years' experience working in an HRIS required; Experience with Oracle or ADP preferred.

  • Knowledge of general employment law, regulations and HR principles including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO/AAP, Worker's Compensation, etc required.

  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to work individually and within a group

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Must be able to successfully pass all applicable background screening tests.

This position will exercise judgement and demonstrate expertise across multiple HR functional areas in support of HR teams across our Final Control global business. Responsibilities: Compensation * Responsible for deployment of all annual incentive plans across the Final Control business and all associated tracking and reporting at the Final Control level * Supports BUs with and lead aspects of program / process design, implementation, improvement and ongoing administration of broad-based compensation initiatives such as market pricing, annual pay planning process, various compensation analysis and administration * Participate in the incentive plan design process, including incentive plan documentation management, tracking and distribution * Supports the wage proposal process across business units as needed/requested * Administers and tracks the merit award processes globally * Provides stakeholders with clear and effective processes, access to accurate and meaningful data, and guidance to support strategic compensation decisions * Provides guidance and recommendations to HR Leaders around job analysis, to include, job descriptions, leveling, grading, internal equity and compensation benchmarking * Recommends revisions that are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends, organizational philosophy and overall business objectives Benefits * Partners with Corporate Benefits to harmonize Final Control practices where appropriate * Partners with Corporate Benefits in implementation of a OneEmerson total rewards philosophy * Leads processes, planning and communications related to annual open enrollment on behalf of Final Control. * Ensures effective Benefits communications materials are available for HR use across Final Control. Talent Management * Assists in tracking and maintaining accurate talent management data for the global business * Develops and continually advances compensation strategies and programs to align with business strategy and ensure the right mix and offerings are available to attract and retain an innovative, high caliber workforce * Partners with BU HR leaders on executing annual talent management processes as needed HR Analytics * Works to develop, maintain and regularly report meaningful HR analytics as a part of our overall HR Scorecard. Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field is required (equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for Degree) * Certified Compensation Profession (CCP) and/or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist CEBS) is a plus * Prior experience in HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role for a medium to large organization. * 3 years of compensation experience with hands-on knowledge of salary planning, incentive program design and market pricing * Prior experience communicating and implementing US benefits plans * Experience leading enterprise wide projects/initiatives at a global organization * Experience navigating global compensation and benefits issues as well as thorough knowledge of U.S. employment and benefit laws and regulations and compliance standards and initiatives under the EEOC, IRS, DOL, OFCCP, OSHA, FLSA, HIPPA, COBRA, and ERISA * Prior experience with HCM Cloud is a plus. * Prefer experience working in a matrix environment and candidate must possess strong consultative skills to build relationships across business units. * Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in MS Excel. Detail oriented and able to graph, analyze and summarize data. Additional information: * Travel requirements: occasional up to 10%.
