Major Duties and Responsibilities
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Beacon Credit Union to live out our mission, "Dedicated to Our Member's Financial Success, " by delivering outstanding service to both internal and external members. The Human Resources Specialist will assist in running the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department. This position may carry out responsibilities and assist in the following functional areas: Recruitment/employment, onboarding, training, payroll and benefits administration, performance management, employment law compliance and enforcing company policies and practices. Responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with VP of Human Resources along with senior management. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications/Licenses
SHRM-CP and/or HRCI/PHR Required
Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
At least one year of Human Resources experience desired.
Good overall knowledge of Human Resources, especially the legal aspects, and familiar with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, EEOC and federal, state employment laws.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
Banking related experience preferred.
