Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Human Resources Representative located in Hazleton, PA. This is an excellent position for someone looking to start their career or broaden their experience in the HR field. The position will report to the Multi-Site HR Manager, Roofing System. The position will interact with all positions in Operations at the plant location

The Hazleton facility manufactures Polyisocyanurate foam insulation panels for use in commercial roofing systems. These panels come in a variety of thicknesses and also include specialty products.

Your Day to Day:

  • Provide HR support to the Plant Manager, salaried staff and hourly production team through effective partnering and HR generalist skills.

  • Plan, organize, and implement organization effectiveness, organization structural change, and talent acquisition strategies that are aligned with and help drive employee engagement and retention objectives.

  • HR processes include payroll processing, recruiting, workforce planning, organization and employee development, disciplinary actions, investigations and training.

  • Partner with employees to foster positive employee relations and a coaching culture; appropriate and timely communications including feedback and recognition.

  • Manage day to day HR issues and ensure consistent and fair resolutions.

  • Proactively drive people solutions, processes, programs, practices, and policies to effectively manage current and future capabilities, generate engagement and encourage operational excellence.

  • Collaborate, align and support the HR Leader, HR service delivery and cross-functional/business teams in achieving HR&C priorities and day to day responsibilities.

  • Ensure compliance with employment-related laws.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Proven ability to execute plans and deliver results.

  • Clear bias for action/sense of urgency.

  • Strong influencing, teamwork, facilitation and collaboration skills.

  • Possess strong analytical, decision-making, and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, timely and demonstrate sensitivity to others.

  • Organizational and prioritization skills sufficient to meet deadlines and workload pressures.

  • Willingness to perform administrative tasks as needed.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

  • Experience with ADP payroll systems a plus
