The HRBP, Human Resources provides human resource services and support to business partners on the overall provision of HR policies, programs and practices with the objective to develop and implement HR strategy throughout the organization and to help achieve the ultimate objectives of the business.

This position is based in New York, NY and will report to the Senior Director of Human Resources.


  • First point of contact for all HR inquiries for specified business unit.

  • Helps identify and monitor the company culture to ensure it supports the attainment of the business goals and promotes employee engagement, retention and satisfaction.

  • Employee Relations - Conducts investigations and provides resolution for employee relations issues.

  • Manages employee engagement and recognition programs and events.

  • Advises and monitors business partners in the disciplinary process.

  • Counsels business partners providing guidance on performance management, conflict resolution, development, needs assessment and training.

  • Partners with managers on org structure and design

  • Advises managers on employee safety and welfare.

  • Resolves employee questions regarding company policies.

  • Assist with implementing new policies/programs and training of business partners

  • Manages the employee transfer, promotion and onboarding process.

  • Assists with workforce forecasting and planning for incremental hires.

  • Partners with the TA/Recruitment Team on all position requisitions (new and backfills).

  • Prepares Job Descriptions with hiring managers.

  • Coordinates with TA and hiring managers on all employment offers.

  • Conducts exit interviews and focus on feedback for retention and recruitment strategy

  • Ensures compliance with all new hire documents.

  • Assists with content of New Hire Orientation.

  • Leads the Performance Management System and Compensation Program for business units.


  • Bachelor's degree in HR or Business or related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years HR experience including generalist responsibilities.

  • Knowledge of US employment law (Federal, State).

  • Excellent written, verbal and strong presentation skills.

  • Active affiliation with appropriate HR networks and organizations.

  • Ability to supervise others.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of employees.

  • Adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands.

  • Proven ability to drive execution and achieve business results while meeting deadlines.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in Google business platform, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Human Resources Manager partnering with assigned publishing client group to implement and oversee HR policies, procedures, and practices within the US. Areas of primary focus include: employee relations, performance management, coordination and support of variable compensation program(s) and HR legal compliance and Change Management. Provide strategic input to the design and development of HR initiatives that support both global and local business objectives.
