Robert Half's HR Solutions team is seeking a dynamic HR Manager for our client with a proven track record in establishing and leading HR functions within a startup environment. This role is ideal for a strategic HR professional experienced in building HR processes and policies from the ground up and managing all HR functions as the sole HR representative.

Experience in U.S. compliance and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is essential. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in aligning HR initiatives with the company’s goals, managing the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with U.S. employment laws, and fostering a positive work environment. This is a high-impact position that requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can effectively balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities: HR Department Setup: Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with startup needs and compliant with U.S. labor laws and regulations.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Partner with leadership to define recruitment strategies, manage the hiring process, and create a seamless onboarding experience. Employee Relations:

Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees on all HR matters, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Performance Management: Establish performance management frameworks, including goal-setting, feedback, and evaluation systems to foster growth and development.

Compensation & Benefits: Oversee the design and management of competitive compensation structures, health benefits, and other rewards and recognition programs. Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, EEO, OSHA, and others; maintain all required documentation and reporting. Mergers & Acquisitions: Lead HR due diligence, integration planning, and employee transition processes related to M&A activities.

HRIS Implementation: Select and implement HR software systems suitable for a growing organization to streamline HR processes.
