HR Manager

At Richelieu Foods we are making Great Food from Great People. We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager who is comfortable driving transformation while reinforcing a culture of support and development. The Human Resources Manager will report directly to the Richelieu Director of Human Resources with significant exposure to the Richelieu Senior Leadership Team.

The Human Resources Manager will have a business leadership mindset and exceptional partnering skills. This position provides leadership and tactical support in a variety of areas that include employee relations, organizational design, talent management, compensation, benefits, legal compliance, policy and procedure development, as well as strategic planning that advance the mission, values, and vision of Richelieu.

Essential Functions

  • Serves as a member of the Plant Leadership Team, partnering with functional leaders to drive business performance results and a performance driven culture.

  • Manages plant recruitment efforts for all exempt / non-exempt / hourly employees and manages our temp vendor relationships.

  • Leads key HR initiatives in support of the organization including workforce planning, leadership development, process improvement, Standard Work training execution and new hire on-boarding.

  • Works closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.

  • Responsible for company compliance with federal and state laws pertaining to all personnel matters. Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance and manages and resolves complex ER issues.

  • Responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization's business goals.

  • Supports safety management related activities and safety training.

  • Responsible for HRIS and payroll administration through our Dayforce HRIS system.

  • Assists in the annual review, preparation and administration of wage and salary program.

  • Coordinates employee events and programs, including annual open enrollment.

Essential Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including organizational development, employee relations, compensation, performance management, and employment law.

  • Demonstrated motivational, leadership, negotiation and coaching skills

  • Strong oral communication and language skills

  • Strong business acumen and problem solving skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, encouraging and building mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.

  • Strong organization and project management skills

  • Leads with a high level of integrity and accountability

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • MA Human Resources or related advanced Degree desired
  • PHR/SPHR Certification desired

Experience

  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience resolving complex employee relations issues

  • Experience with Paycom HRIS system desired

  • Bilingual in Spanish/Hindi/French desired
