The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) is currently recruiting for the position of Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the Assistant Chief of Human Resources and is responsible for an array of duties including the proper supervision of assigned employees, the prioritizing and assignments of their work tasks, conducting performance evaluations, ensuring staff are appropriately trained, and providing hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.

Job Description: In this role, you will collaborate with leadership, senior level Human Resources Business Partners and the broader HR team to establish HR plans and solutions to achieve strategic business results. Consult, coach and partner with leaders at multiple levels on people and organizational needs (including compensation, talent acquisition, talent management, workforce planning). Partner with leadership to find opportunities to attract, develop and retain talent. Ensure HR practices and policies are consistently administered and aligned with organizational goals. Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR COEs to develop solutions and programs. Facilitate the communication and rollout of HR programs and projects. Participate in cross-team initiatives across the segment and Human Resources as assigned. Job Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree and 8 - 10 years of HR-related experience * Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and practices * Experience in developing, executing and maintaining HR projects and programs. * Demonstrable ability to diagnose problems using critical thinking skills and identify and drive appropriate solutions. * Effective verbal/written communication and presentation skills. * Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills as well as excellent coaching skills. * You have proven an ability to practice a high level of confidentiality. * Analytical skills and proficient in Excel * Able to manage workflow, with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities.
