The HR Manager's Mission: To ensure our people strategies, initiatives and culture support our growth ambitions as an organization. This is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to our growing team. This position will have the opportunity work on pretty much all aspects of Human Resources from advising on benefits, designing and rolling out policies, hiring and onboarding new team members, to helping us create new and engaging HR processes. We're a tightly aligned team based in Nashville and we are looking forward to strengthening that with someone enthusiastic, trustworthy and hands on to help us reach our growth potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve, develop and manage thoughtful and scalable, HR policies and procedures that balance employee experience with legal requirements and compliance
  • Manage our end-to-end recruitment process: writing job descriptions, posting roles to internal and external job sites, managing recruiter relationships, conducting phone screenings, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer letters
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues in a highly confidential manner
  • Oversee immigration matters and employee visa applications
  • Administer and act as key point of contact for our HRIS: manage PTO, employee document storage, ensure employee information is accurate and up to date, etc.
  • Onboard newly hired employees ensuring a positive and smooth introduction the company with appropriate training
  • Run semi-annual employee engagement surveys, analyze data, and suggest initiatives to drive engagement
  • Work with our finance and accounting teams to review and administer benefits
  • Organize employee events including town halls, quarterly Medapaloozas, and holiday celebrations
  • Oversee and administer semi-annual performance management process

Requirements

Desired Experience & Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or relevant on-the-job experience
  • Progressive HR experience, with 3-5 years experience at the Manager level
  • Ideally, you already have experience in a role like this, preferably from a start-up/scale-up environment and you are excited about rolling up your sleeves and getting things done
  • Strong knowledge of HR concepts: change management, organizational development, performance management, leadership development, employee practices, compensation, benefits & rewards
  • Solid understanding of employment law and risk management
  • Highly organized and demonstrable project management and planning skills
  • Able to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
  • Ability to effectively interact and partner with employees and leaders at all levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in all programs of Microsoft Office suite
