Position Summary:

Provide HR strategic business partnership to multiple lines of business organizations. Create/develop specific business initiatives and programs to help drive our people strategy. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work as the strategic business partner with the functional area leaders to achieve their business objectives and initiatives

  • Provide support to associates under functional areas (including corporate associates in remote locations) comprising of the following HR functions: talent management, hiring quality candidates, on-boarding new associates, training and development, associate relations, performance management and Total Rewards

  • Provide support and counsel through the Company's Succession Planning process including identification of candidates and placement facilitation for openings

  • Lead and direct leadership teams throughout the transition process regarding organizational design/impact, HR processes and administration

  • Develop, implement and manage new and existing divisional processes, programs and procedures

  • Develop and implement HR Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

  • Provide guidance and direction to Cultural Councils to support company objective for an inclusive business culture

  • Provide guidance and direction regarding compensation (e.g., offers, job leveling, promotional and merit increases) and assure alignment with company compensation plan

  • Partner with Leadership and Talent Development to develop individual associate development and training plans and provide tools to improve customer service

  • Assist leaders in the Performance Excellence Discussion (PED) process and performance management plans

  • Collaborate with Loss Prevention and Risk Management departments on critical associate issues

  • Work closely with Legal department in labor and employment matters

  • Maintain flexibility to travel to offsite meetings as needed

  • Supervise and coach direct reports in performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports

  • Must be able to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Human Resources Generalist

  • Understanding of retail grocery business

  • HR experience in more than one functional area of HR

  • PHR or SPHR certification

Education Level: Bachelor's Desired

POSITION SUMMARY Provides location or geography-based HR support and guidance to our employees and leaders on a wide variety of front-line HR issues, including implementation of critical HR processes. Primary focus is on employee relations related matters.
