The Employee Services Division within the Metro Transit Department (MTD) seeks an experienced, collaborative, and motivated HR Manager I for the HR Information Management (HRIM) Team.
As the HRIM Manager, you will
This role is responsible for leading, directing the work of, and supporting Metro's HRIM Team, ensuring the effectiveness of processes that support position management, contract implementation, records management, and other HR information processes. This role will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance HR processes, systems, and tools, ensuring optimal employee experiences and organizational effectiveness.
The HRIM Manager is a member of the Employee Services Management Team (ESMT) and reports to Metro's HR Manager III. As a strategic partner to the HR Manager III and a subject-matter expert, you will serve as the main ambassador for this area of work and provide guidance and recommendations about complex pay-related issues, records management, and other HR information to partners at every level across and beyond the department.
You will work with the HR Manager III to build and implement strategic plans that center team development and effective processes while keeping a keen eye on culture.

Work Schedule
This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is therefore not eligible for overtime pay if scheduled. The work schedule is normally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Variations may be required depending on the demands and needs of the work.
Work Location: The work associated with this position is currently being performed in a hybrid fashion including teleworking, complemented with onsite work and meetings as needed. Frequency of onsite work will vary based on business and operational needs. Primary on-site work location is, 201 S Jackson St, Seattle, WA (King Street Center).
Teleworking Requirement
Employees must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.
King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely. The individual selected for this opportunity will join an innovative and progressive team that is redefining how we work as we transition to the department's hybrid environment.
Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
