What does it mean to be Human Resources Manager with GLS?

The Manager, Human Resources Consultant (HRC) is responsible for driving human capital management programs and processes to optimize business operations including employee relations, performance management, talent development and related organizational initiatives.

What will you do each day to support the most talented team in the industry?

  • Using performance data from operational units, deliver core HR processes for managing performance, developing talent, building thoughtful career paths, and deeply engaging individuals and teams

  • Monitor and drive enhancements of key HR programs such as onboarding, performance management, and employee relations; developing and implementing new processes as necessary

  • Provide guidance in the application of processes and policies to ensure consistent management of employee performance across the organization

  • Conduct thorough and objective employee relations investigations as necessary; establish and implement proper steps for corrective action(s)

  • Coach business leaders on key areas such as leadership, teamwork, strategy, etc.

  • Collaborate with HR partners in support of the overall organization to design and deliver on key strategic projects: provide feedback, input, and change management considerations to ensure that end products are relevant, applicable and achieve desired end results.

  • Foster a collaborative culture that facilitates the achievement of business plan objectives by working closely with other associates and members of management

  • Participate in special projects as needed

  • Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the company or as directed by management

What should you already know to be successful in this role?

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree required. SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred. Internal candidates at the Specialist I level with commensurate experience and a track record of sustained, top performance against company standards may be considered

  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience across multiple human resource disciplines including recruitment, employee relations, performance management and employment-related legal/compliance activities

  • Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness

  • Excellent consulting, client management and business literacy skills with demonstrated understanding of corporate and business unit challenges

  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: friendly and tactful with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross-functional partnerships across the business

  • Team player that can adapt in a fast pace and changing environment

  • Proficient computer skills with a working knowledge of internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required

  • Commitment to exemplifying the organizational core values and key competencies

Position Overview The Human Resources (HR) Representative provides assistance with all human resource functions at this business location. The HR Representative carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas including but not limited to: recruiting/employment, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits and compensation. Hubbell, Inc. 701 Millennium Blvd. Greenville, SC 29607 * KH #LI-KH1 Duties and Responsibilities * Prepares onboarding materials for new hires, coordinates pre-employment screenings and assists with orientation activities * Organizes employee engagement activities, conducts stay interviews and promotes our culture of inclusion * Assist with our College Internship program to include campus recruiting, onboarding, coordination of events and end of Summer presentations * Promotes our corporate wellness program, including health screenings, flu shots; coordinates annual benefits enrollment processes * Works closely with HR Manager to provide clear and concise communication of policies and procedures to ensure a customer driven environment. * Provides sound advice and counsel to management on employee relations matters; ensure employees and managers receive the appropriate counseling, guidance and support on employee relations issues * Supports managers with timekeeping and attendance programs to ensure payroll accuracy * Administers health and welfare programs including enrollments, changes and terminations.
