Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources Manager acts as a strategic business partner who provides counsel and support to management and employees in all aspects of the human resources discipline. This includes employee relations, legal, staffing, diversity, benefits, compensation, employee coaching and training & development. This role is responsible for bringing new ideas and processes to support the agency's overall vision and partners closely with the Human Resources Director to have a pulse on Account Management.
Establishes and sustains fluid partnership with the Account Management department
Offers timely and transparent communication allowing visibility into HR initiatives as well as maintaining a knowledge of department initiatives
Maintains understanding of Account Management department allocations and financials
Stays up-to-date with Account Management recruiting; provides recommendations for internal moves based on agency and specific team needs Employee Relations/Performance Management
Proactively addresses employee performance issues and if warranted works with manager on a performance improvement plan
Investigates complaints and concerns and recommends course of action based on findings
Conducts New Hire follow-ups and exit interviews
Owns annual performance management process providing guidance and counsel to managers and employees
Partners with senior managers to cultivate a positive, productive work environment; proactively brings ideas and counsel
Champions the employee onboarding process including new hire orientation
Recognizes opportunities, then develops and implements various human resource initiatives/procedures
Addresses benefit inquiries from employees including health insurance, stock purchase, 401(k), life, LTD insurance, FTO, Leave of Absences, etc.
5 years of progressive HR experience
Excellent presentation, facilitation, oral and written communication skills
Interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm, engagement and motivation
Bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience required: preferably in HR Management, Organizational Development or Business Management. PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
