HR Manager - Van Nuys, California (On Site)
StandardAero has an exciting opportunity for a strategic Human Resources Leader to join one of the largest independent aviation service businesses in the world. The Company is a global organization with ~7000 employees working out of facilities strategically located in 55 primary locations across 6 continents.
Reporting directly to the sector Vice President of Human Resources, the HR Manager will act as a key member of the leadership team, with accountability to the Business Unit VP GMs.
The HR Manager will be accountable for the leadership and delivery of results in the areas of Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations and Compensation for the applicable Business Units in Van Nuys. The role will be based out of the Western Jet Aviation, a company of StandardAero Van Nuys site.
What you'll do:
Acts as a trusted advisor to the Senior Management team and other members of Leadership, providing strategic HR guidance on the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Hires, inspires, develops and motivates a collaborative and highly functioning HR team
Collaborates with global HR Central Function partners to develop and deploy HR solutions that drive organizational alignment while allowing for local nuance
Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Provides support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
Partners with Talent Acquisition to ensure an effective hiring process for the organization, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Develops, coordinates and participates in creative solutions to business challenges and cultural changes
Identifies and coordinates long term talent management planning to develop longer term organizational capabilities
Consults and engages with leadership to foster and promote engagement at all levels of the organization.
Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Ensures the consistent and equitable application of organization policies and procedures
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Participates in site-wide and company-wide HR initiatives as required

Salary: $99,000-145,000 annually, based on experience
