Summary: We are looking for a motivated and culture-focused Human Resources Manager to join the Cosm Dallas team. You will act as a trusted leader and guide on various employee-related topics. Responsibilities
Work closely with leadership, managers, and all team members to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Manage and oversee all the day-to-day staffing needs for the Venue.
Facilitates the recruitment process for supervisory and management positions: confers with the hiring managers to identify staffing needs, creates and posts job ads, screens applicants, conducts interviews, makes hiring recommendations, processes background checks, and negotiates compensation.
Be a point of contact for all questions regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Conduct thorough investigations for all workplace complaints and provide reporting to Cosm HR Leadership team and the General Manager.
Oversee and manage all aspects of the employee life-cycle, including onboarding, promotions, job changes, leaves of absence, relocations, immigration issues, terminations, and the exit process.
Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions (e.g., CA Wage and Hour Law, OSHA, EEO, ERISA, etc.); proactively monitor exposure, anticipate issues, provide overall risk management, and further develop a culture of compliance.
Administer the annual performance review process, including reviewing all performance reviews and counseling management on effective ways to evaluate and communicate job performance to employees.
Be the initial point of contact for all benefits-related questions.
Provide oversight to all employee recognition programs for the Venue.
Recommend and approve all employee transitions such as hire, transfer, promotions, etc.
Responsible for all new hire onboarding and orientation.
Partner with the SVP of HR on annual bonus and salary planning processes; salary recommendations for new hires, promotions, and equity adjustments; and usage of other performance bonus programs to reward strong performers.
Be onsite contact for all payroll-related issues.
Work with GM and department heads to submit weekly payroll and ensure we are in compliance.
Support employee engagement and culture work for all venue team members.
Be an expert in time management, meeting deadlines, responsiveness, positive tone- both verbally and in writing, and the ability to flex to the ever-changing needs of the business.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Seeking 5+ years of progressive human resources experience in retail, hospitality, or venues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Previous experience with Dayforce HR System.
