Overview:

Total employment for the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma plant is 125 people. Plant operates 24/7.

Manufacturing experience is preferred. Safety/EHS experience would be a plus. Plant was part of recent acquisition, so assimilation into Berry Global continues. High exposure and great developmental opportunity.

Purpose:

The HR Manager will develop, implement, and manage company policies and procedures. Manage all functional areas within responsibility to include employee relations, salary administration, payroll, benefits, training, and staffing.

Keep plant management team abreast of changes in employment law as well as ensure legal compliance. Make recommendations that encompass trends and new developments within the human resources function. Works independently and makes decisions that are in the best interest of the organization. The HR Manager will report directly to the HR Director, with a dotted-line reporting partnership with the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

o Ensure Berry Global employee relations values and principles are properly communicated and understood.

o Interpret and apply Human Resources policies; aligns business goals with HR policies.

o Manage recruitment, compensation, diversity, performance management, employee training and development.

o Develop, coordinate, and conduct HR training programs.

o Administer benefits open enrollment.

o Assist Plant Manager and HR Director as necessary and requested.

o Coordinate performance and salary review process.

o Manage payroll and HR automated systems.

o Represent company in unemployment insurance claims.

o Manage Human Resources data retention process.

o Provide support for HR activities such as continuous improvement initiatives, affirmative action plan, integration, acquisitions, right-sizing.

o Act as coach/counsel at all levels in the organization.

o Participates and leads employee improvement teams to promote positive employee relations; promotes and encourages employee participation.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

o Bachelor's Degree in related field.

o PHR or SPHR certification a plus.

o 4+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing setting.

o Excellent communication and organizational skills.

o Demonstrates group presentation skills.

o Strong analytical abilities.

o Able to work independently as well as in-group settings.

o Strategic thinker.

Learn more about this agency Responsibilities The primary purpose of the position is to provide technical, procedural, and evaluative assistance in the area of employee benefits, performance management, and/or compensation for both Army and Air National Guard organizations. Performs work in one or more of the above human resources specialties. Accomplishes work through the use of an automated personnel system. Provides technical guidance and procedural assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees in executing a variety of employee benefits' programs, which may include workers' compensation, health and life benefits, Thrift Savings Program (TSP), awards, performance management, or retirement. Serves as a technical expert in matters regarding employees' claims for Workers Compensation. Serves as the Injury Compensation Program Administrator and primary point of contact for the Federal Employee's Compensation Act (FECA) program for facilities at numerous statewide locations. Assists in administering the retirement programs for employees desiring to retire under any of the retirement systems. Assist in processing retirement actions, which are moderately complex, non-controversial, and/or recurring cases related to both the Federal Employees Retirement System and the Civil Services Retirement Systems.
