Overseeing the Human Resources Department and functions this position will be the strength of associates relationships, cheering them on through triumph times and training the team to the next level of outstanding customer service. In addition, you will guide the associates in their career path and planning and serve as an excellent resource and business partner to the executive committee members.
Not only will you do amazing things within the hotel, you will make a name for yourself and team outside of the hotel. Partnering and participating in local community events and initiatives.
What we are looking for; a self-starter, skilled HR Professional with a passion and high performance results of success in recruiting, training, retaining and highly engaging top talent within all levels of both Heart of House and Front of House Hotel positions. Hyatt experience a plus, Marriott & Hilton alike brands will also be considered, 2 or more years Human Resources experience.
As a Human Resources Manager with Interstate, you'll have the opportunity to exercise your expert knowledge and showcase your talents as a critical member of the hotel leadership team. In addition, you will:
Manage and attend to daily department operations and participate in total management as a critical member of the hotel's management team. Skillfully apply your knowledge to protect employees and the brand.
Ensure sustained healthy retention. Plan and manage all aspects of talent acquisition.
You enable an environment that's engaging, where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best, and advance. You model the way, by embracing and championing the culture, empowering, and coaching throughout the employment lifecycle.
Share your knowledge by educating associates and managers. Employ your love of learning to coach, develop, and celebrate recognition. Educate associates on programs, help managers with Employee Relations matters, and create solutions out of conflict.
Partner with management and finance. You will develop and monitor the department's budget. Keep a pulse on the competitors' compensation and benefits and employee satisfaction to meet and exceed business goals.
A four-year degree or equivalent education or experience, plus at least 2 years in a human resources position required (preferably in a hotel environment). Verbal and written English language proficiency is required, with a second language helpful. You must be able to deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism. You will regularly use a computer and different software.
