Responsible for auditing and maintenance of human resources data into the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) including SAP to ensure completeness and integrity of data. Owner of HRIS. Partner with Payroll, Compensation, Organizational Effectiveness, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Relations teams through the design and implementation of system fixes and the creation and distribution of reports.
Maintains the org management module in SAP which includes maintenance of positions and their relationships to jobs, org units, cost centers, etc. Act as the technical point of contact for the HR Team and act as the leader for HR systems projects.Day to Day: Act as project lead for technical needs in HR.
Partner with HR teams to create process improvements. Recommend system based solutions that support the process improvements. Work with IT on developing the system solutions and ensuring thorough testing.
Conduct trainings for HR employees on SAP, Pivot tables, etc. Maintain awareness of current trends in the HRIS industry, applying key technologies to improve our current processes and reporting abilities in HR. Support the Business Analytics Team in development and implementation of new HR tools.
Perform Affirmative Action Plan reporting/auditing with Talent Acquisition which includes researching system inaccuracies, system clean-up, and identifying possible fixes to the reporting design in SAP. Leads HRIS Team by maintaining the Team Foundation Server (TFS) with all change requests (CMSs) for HR. This includes prioritizing CMS's for the monthly build schedules.
Project lead for HR year-end regression testing which includes keeping the HRIS team on track to meet testing deadlines, assisting in testing where needed outside of primary responsibilities, tracking all testing errors, and following up to ensure they are resolved appropriately. Act as main liaison between HR and IT for all system requests. Owner of the performance management system within the HRIS system, including identifying system glitches and creating work arounds while collaborating with IT to develop system fixes.
This also includes working directly with our end users on training and trouble shooting. Develop, maintain, and evolve user procedures, how-to guides, and process documentation for Performance Appraisals (Union and Non-union). Provides custom reports as requested. This includes identifying and documenting the business requirements, and providing suggestions/training for users to access information independently, or creating and delivering reports when necessary.
Owner of the Training and Event Management (TEM) module of SAP. This includes collaborating with other departments with set-up and design for their specific needs along with maintaining the TEM catalog which includes updates and maintenance of qualifications to ensure that correct qualifications are connected to give job codes for compliance purposes. Process all re-orgs in SAP, including creation of new org units, positions, etc.
This includes mapping all of the movements in Visio to ensure SAP is updated properly and all documentation and approvals are completed before processing. Work with IT to ensure correct security access is given to managers/supervisors, and email distribution lists are up-to-date and accurate. Communication and interpersonal skills including ability to work with all levels of organization; ability to work as a member of a team.
Utilizes the following software: Excel, Word, Visio and Outlook to prepare office correspondence including spreadsheets/databases, e-mail groups, company organization charts, distribution lists, and other reports. Audit Personnel Change Requests (PCR) verifying that the request form is entered into the system accurately.
Provide guidance and training to employees doing data entry. Occasionally act as the backup for data entry when needed. Enter PCRs into SAP at an advanced level with no guidance needed, and a high degree of accuracy.
This includes identifying errors on the PCR and correcting them prior to entry. Supports Company's commitment to a culture of safe work practices.
Come on your first day with: Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires a minimum of three years of recent experience in an HRIS role. SAP experience preferred; other HRIS systems experience desirable. Demonstrated advanced computer skills including database management, report writing, creating, updating, and maintaining spreadsheets, word processing, and Visio documents.
Ability to gather information that may be critical and/or sensitive from various sources, track, tabulate, and organize information into standardized reports. Experience in auditing, analyzing and updating various periodic reports to identify trends, opportunities, and errors. Ability to work in a strong team-oriented environment responding to and managing pressure caused by tight timetables/deadlines.
Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects and coordinate workflow, while maintaining an understanding of overall department objectives. Strong internal customer service orientation with collaborative problem-solving approach. Instructs others in Company policies, procedures and practices.
Applies judgment in determining the criticality of a request and forwarding requests to resources to be addressed.
