Duties
This position is in the Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) of the U.S International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). OHRM provides a comprehensive program that covers recruitment and employment, employee training and development, performance management, work and job design, position classification and management, labor and employee relations, compensation and benefits, timekeeping, personnel action processing, and employee recordkeeping. As an Intern, you will actively participate as a team member and assist in administrative tasks in support of a wide variety of human resource support functions including processes that support employee life-cycle management (onboarding to offboarding). This includes, but is not limited to,
Coordinating activities for new employee orientation to include sending meeting invites and meeting new employees when they arrive;
Working with the HRIS team on enhancing Service Now Onboarding tasks and notifications to improve and streamline onboarding activities;
Working with the Processing team on entering personnel, payroll, and time and attendance actions and maintaining employee records;
Compiling data and utilizing PowerPoint, Excel and Word or other office productivity software to arrange data and create reports or charts or provide other assistance as needed on projects and special requests; and
Answering basic questions related to federal employment, human resources business systems, and DFC human resources policies.

Qualifications
Candidates applying for this position must be in a student status in either an undergraduate or graduate program. Candidates should provide a resume that demonstrates prior work history and coursework completed. Candidates who apply for this position must be able to be on-site at 1100 New York Avenue, NW Washington, DC, every other Monday and other days as required. Candidates will also be evaluated on their ability to demonstrate high levels of customer service and hospitality that are critical to providing new employees with a positive onboarding experience and answering employee questions. In addition, candidates should have experience compiling data and using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word or similar applications in Google.

GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
