The HR Intern will learn various aspects of the human resource function and support the HR staff with projects and tasks as follows:
Providing support for various audits of HR practices, including auto allowance, Sarbanes-Oxley procedures, background checks in our El Paso location, company car driver's license audit, etc.
Assist employees with replacement ID badges, passwords for Ceridian Self-Service and other employee questions.
Scheduling training for employees
Assist with attendance program
Assist with implementation of new HRIS system.
Assist with weekly employee orientation program.
Assist in recruiting: creating new hire folders, setting up interviews, screening candidates.
Assist with company communication monitors.
Other projects as assigned.
Available for work 15-20 hours per week.
Actively enrolled in a local Human Resource Bachelor's degree program, preferably with a business background.
Previous experience with Microsoft software: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with social media from a business perspective
Attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
