We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our team and support our HR department in maintaining accurate and organized employee records at our Santa Ana, CA office. The ideal candidate should be currently enrolled in college, pursuing a major in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in the HR domain, with a focus on employee record filing, data entry, and maintaining strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Employee Records Maintenance:

  • Assist in the creation, organization, and maintenance of physical and electronic employee records.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of employee information in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Data Entry:

  • Input and update employee data in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) or other relevant databases.

  • Perform routine data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy.

  • Confidentiality:

  • Uphold strict confidentiality standards when handling sensitive employee information.

  • Adhere to privacy regulations and company policies regarding data protection.

  • Organization and Filing:

  • Maintain a systematic filing system for physical and electronic records.

  • Ensure documents are filed in a timely and organized manner for easy retrieval.

  • Communication:

  • Collaborate with HR team members to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate filing tasks and updates.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college program with a major in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficient in data entry and use of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Additional Information:

  • This is a part-time, onsite, and paid internship position.

  • The internship duration and weekly hours can be discussed based on the candidate's availability and academic requirements.

Compensation: This part-time position is USD $20.00 per hour to USD $25.00 per hour. Please note that the salary range listed is specific to the role listed in California. Hourly rates may vary for different individuals in the same role based on various factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, and performance.
