The First American Summer Intern Program is a full-time, 10 to 12 week paid summer internship starting in May and June 2019. The intern will work in a program designed to help college students gain experience and develop the technology, professional and interpersonal skills to use throughout their career.

First American Interns work in a corporate environment within the Financial/Title Industrybalanced with intern-specific activities, executive level presentations and networking opportunitieswhile under the close supervision and guidance of a manager and/or mentor. Students are assigned significant work assignments to support the Human Resources department. Intern will support the development of new training and learning program in Human Resources Learning & Development. Will work one-on-one with Program Manager to complete select tasks including researching relevant program elements, preparing communications for a variety of audiences, organizing and developing presentation materials, and communicating with program participants.

Job Qualifications:

College/University students currently enrolled in a Bachelor's (Junior or Senior level) or Master's degree programs with 1-2 years' of work experience.

To qualify, candidates will possess the following:

  • Preferred Major/Discipline: English, Communications, Marketing, Psychology, Education, Human Resources, or Business

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn, ability to communicate effectively with others via email or in-person, ability to manage work flow independently.

  • Demonstrated Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications

  • Ability to collaborate to solve problems, communicate clearly, and be detailed oriented/conscientious.

  • An interest and willingness to learn about the Mortgage, Real Estate, Financial, Title Insurance or related industries.

  • Potential to excel in the following competencies: Communication, Customer Focus, Ethics & Integrity, Teamwork & Adaptability, Productivity & Initiative

Other duties may be assigned: * Assist with management of background check systems administration, process and training. * Assist in cross functional collaboration with recruiting of background compliance in new hire process, in addition to annual checks and reporting auditing. * Assist with the administration of the company-wide I-9 system administration and auditing.
