Job Description Job Description We are currently seeking a skilled HR Specialist who enjoys collaborative teamwork as well as individual project responsibility. This is a full-time, onsite position.
The HR Generalist will provide human resource support for all departments of the company along with some payroll administrative support as needed. We are looking for a candidate that has knowledge in all aspects of human resources, administrative experience, bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including but not limited to benefits, leave of absences, workers’ compensation, OSHA, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations and assistance with the payroll department as needed. • Handles benefit inquiries from management, employees and brokers. • Assists with census data for required 5500 filings on both health and 401K plans. • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance for active employees for mandatory training. • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations. • Performs routine tasks and assists with employee recruitment, candidate screening, assists with interviews, new hire onboarding and orientation. • Maintains employee files and stays current with any mandatory employee training and certifications. • Assists with communicating HR policies , procedures, programs and laws with management and employees. • Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings, training courses and seminars. • Prepares and processes termination documentation and final pay. • Responds to general agency requests. • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources and employment law. • Acts as backup for HR Manager as needed. • Performs other duties as required. o Assists with payroll data entry when needed. o Assists with timesheet approvals and management when needed. o Assists with coordinating any company events.
Qualifications: • Minimum of 3 years of experience or more as a HR Generalist, or a similar role in Human Resources • Knowledge of labor and employment laws • Ability to build rapport with all employees • Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent written communication • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Edits work for spelling and grammar • Varies writing style to meet needs • All applicants are required to satisfactorily pass a background screening and drug screening.
