Full time opening for a Human Resources (HR) Generalist. This role requires a BA in Human Resources or a related field and 3-5 years of experience working in HR.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in HR in a community health center or other health care environment and/or a PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification. This position will administer policies, procedures and programs relating to all aspects of the HR function to include recruitment, employee relations, performance management, organizational and staff development, organizational effectiveness, compensation, benefits, reward and recognition, regulatory compliance (including affirmative action) and safety that will contribute to developing a high performance culture.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written), be customer service oriented, knowledgeable of local, state, and federal employment laws, have the ability to gather, organize, analyze and interpret data, have proficient computer skills (i.e.

Microsoft Office, Internet, Social Media, HRIS or HRMS), have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information, have strong organizational skills, be self-motivated, have project management skills and be able to multi-task in order to meet deadlines, have the ability to both work independently and work effectively as part of a team, be innovative, and have exhibit flexibility and a willingness to adapt to change.

Position Overview The Human Resource Coordinator offers support to the HR Manager in a variety of functions including HRIS data management, payroll, recruitment, and other HR administrative duties. Duties and Responsibilities * Prepare for any HR event by putting together an agenda, order catering, purchase supplies, deal with catering or event centers etc. * Manage the administrative duties required to review payroll and provide support to management. * Send out Monthly HR and Benefit and Health Newsletters. * Manage the HR information television and all HR communication boards in all locations, prepare and hang any flyer needed for birthday's anniversaries training etc. * Ensure all required Governmental postings and forms are kept up to date in all locations. * Assist in special projects: policy updates, HR or Safety training, HR audits, etc. * Manage Onboarding process through the HR System. Help managers prepare schedule for orientation day notifying all involved. Administer new hire orientation in conjunction with Human Resource Manager. * Provide HR assistance in recruiting for all temporary or full time plant associates: * Do first interview with candidates, * Set up additional interviews with hiring managers, * If candidate selected inform payroll and reception for badge, * Ensure all new associates have safety checklist and machine test complete and on file prior to working first shift, * Schedule evaluations of temporary associates on Lead's calendar on a 14, 30, 60 and 90 day basis and ensure evaluations are completed on time, * If Lead requests moving temporary associate to full time status schedule final interview with HR Manager and Director of Operations prior to offer of employment * Coordinate employee events and activities to enhance health, morale and camaraderie. * Coordinate company interaction with volunteer opportunities. * File either online or over phone all workman compensation claims within 24 hours of incident. * Maintain any necessary affirmative action logs on non-exempt positions. * Create relationships with local colleges/technical schools and universities to create a pool of candidates for both exempt and non-exempt recruitment needs. Attend Career Fairs. * Responsible for scheduling and conducting exit interviews on last day of employment for all associates resigning from the company, obtain all company related articles prior to employee leaving. * Ensure all plant associates job descriptions are kept up to date and acknowledged by those in the positions * Manage new hire pay progressions and Union dues payments. * Help maintain unemployment claims. * Support managers in regards to the Collective Bargaining Agreement language for hourly employees. Skills and Experience * Minimum of 1 – 4 years' experience with Human Resources functions.
