A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST / RECRUITER

In this recruiter position, you lead the hiring efforts for our Roselle, IL seasonal team. You creatively source, recruit, on-board, and retain over 100 seasonal field technicians.

Collaborating with current seasonal technicians and the local supervisor staff, you do whatever it takes to reach the necessary staffing levels. Your ultimate goal is to meet the needs of our clients.

Your go-getter attitude assists as you actively prepare for your hiring season. Since our season operates April - October, we must be fully trained by mid-May.

With approximately 30% of our hires being students, you embrace the challenge to find staffing for the early season and end of the season. Thinking outside of the typical staffing box, you search out a variety of means to advertise this seasonal employment opportunity such as social media, job boards, and job fairs, as well as develop relationships with industry partners and associations in order to build a pipeline of qualified candidates! You also find strategic ways to build a strong relationship with passive applicants.

Coordinating the full life cycle of staffing activities, you eagerly screen, interview, order background checks, and offer employment to potential candidates. You facilitate hiring and onboarding activities as regulated by the Illinois Department of Agriculture, HR practices and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local employment laws.

Additionally, you assist the HR Management and Operations team with developing and implementing strategies and recruiting top talent for our regular, full-time roles. You also participate in designing programs to build, foster, and maintain effective interdepartmental communication and a strong sustainability-focused company culture. QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of related experience - including both recruiting AND generalist activities

• Demonstrated expertise developing and executing creative recruiting strategies and plans in a high volume, fast paced environment

• Relevant education

• Proficiency in marketing positions in unique ways, including knowledge and experience utilizing social media for recruiting and development of recruitment brand

• Familiarity with the utilization of applicant tracking systems

A Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources or a related field is preferred, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Can you communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal?
