Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Summary
Assist the Corporate Director of Human Resources with his/her responsibilities as it relates to the administration, documentation and reporting of employee new-hire documents, certifications, health and wellness benefits, changes and terminations. This is a part time position (3 days/24 hours a week) with a potential to full-time employment in the future.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Process benefit invoices.
Weekly 834 filings.
Maintain and update employee records in OnBase.
New-Hire reporting.
Processing and verifying employee eligibility in Everify.
Weekly reporting of employee activity (transfers, new hires, terminations).
Monthly employee counts
Gather info and notify Marketing of any new-hire announcements, and promotions.
Input and maintain certifications database.
Open and disburse mail.
Maintain employee relations.
Ad hoc special assignments to assist the Corporate Director of Human Resources.
Any and all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Other Skills and Abilities
Must be able to legally work in the United States.
Must be willing to work in a drug-free environment and agree to a post offer drug test.
Must be willing to work safely and keep OSHA recordable incidents to a minimum.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year College or University; and 6 months-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to business acumen, financial concepts, and various HR related calculations. A high math aptitude is necessary for computer automation projects and logic. An understanding of statistics and other higher level math is necessary. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, reporting tools related to databases. Experience with OnBase and Everify systems would be a bonus and not a necessity.

Work Environment
General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 20% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
