Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a human resources generalist to join our team and support our HR functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance. The candidate will also assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures and ensuring alignment with the company's goals and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, interview, and hire qualified candidates for various positions.

• Conduct orientation and onboarding for new hires and provide ongoing support and guidance.

• Manage employee records and data and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Handle employee relations issues, such as grievances, complaints, and disciplinary actions.

• Identify training and development needs and organize and facilitate relevant programs and activities.

• Assist in developing and updating HR policies and procedures and communicating them to employees and managers.

• Provide advice and assistance to employees and managers on HR-related matters, such as benefits, compensation, leave, and career development.

• Participate in HR projects and initiatives and collaborate with other HR team members and stakeholders.

• Back-up for bi-monthly payroll processing.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.

• 1 to 5 years of experience as a human resources generalist or specialist, preferably in a life science industry.

• Knowledge of HR best practices, laws, and regulations, such as EEO, ADA, FMLA, and OSHA.

• Proficiency in MS Office and HR software, such as TriNet, Kronos or similar programs.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

• Certification from a recognized HR association, such as SHRM or HRCI, is an asset.

Compensation:

The estimated base compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 per year at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
