  • Responsible for managing all employee relation matters to ensure all employees are treated fairly, provided with competitive wages, benefits and sound working conditions; Also, responsible for maintaining strong communication links between managers and employees; and providing an attractive, challenging, and fun environment in which to work.

  • Interact daily with management and employees to insure an open line of communication is maintained in order to identify and address any issues, needs, and/or concerns as they arise.

  • Conduct exit interviews and attend unemployment hearings.

  • Assist with recruitment and interviewing both non-exempt and exempt employees.

  • Assist in the development and administration of the DC Recognition Program.

  • Coach and facilitate management towards the resolution of employee/management issues.

  • Conduct all investigations regarding discrimination, sexual harassment, and employee disputes.

  • Identify and address diversity issues.

  • Formulate business strategies with respect to maintaining a diverse workforce, low turnover, and respect among all levels within the organization.

  • Evaluate and conduct salary and benefit programs to ensure we are providing a comprehensive and competitive compensation package.

  • Provide guidance and assistance to all employees relative to their benefits and payroll.

  • Advise on employment law.

  • Providing guidance and interpretation of current employment law.

  • Develop and facilitate training on Sexual Harassment, Discrimination.

  • Draft, develop, create and administer the DC policies (Discrimination, sexual harassment, attendance, corrective action plans).

  • Keep abreast of trends and changes is employment legislation.

  • Develop and maintain open lines of communication with Corporate and other distribution centers in order to share ideas, and develop solutions to existing programs, policies and procedures.

  • Interface with government agencies, educational institutions, and Human Resources Organizations for the purpose of keeping abreast of new legislation, changes in the Human Resources field as well as to establishing a network within the HR community.

Must possess a sound knowledge of management-labor relations, employment law, practices and procedures within Human Resources Management.Excel, Word skills

Effective organizational skills

Comfortable with conducting presentationsBA/BS, preferably in Human Resources or related field5 years Human Resources experience

Ability to travel periodically as needed for training, conferences, and recruitment

Able to stand, walk, and speak effectively

VIEW JOBS 9/15/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-14T00:00 Summary/Objective The Human Resource Generalist is a hands-on representative of the DecisionHR Human Resources department whose job is to help facilitate all basic HR functions as well as Employee Relations functions. With diverse yet substantive job responsibilities, the Generalist works with providing client services support for both current employees and new hires Essential Functions * Responsible for serving as a point of contact for assigned clients and providing initial support services. Support areas including, but not limited to: Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Payroll, Unemployment Claims, etc. * Evaluates and analyzes client/employee requests quickly while interpreting the situation, determining the appropriate resolution, and communicating the resolution in a timely manner. * Proactively escalates issues on the clients behalf to ensure customer satisfaction and timely response. * Maintains current knowledge of policies and procedures and provides excellent customer service to client/employee while maintaining confidentially. * Provides employment-related data and prepares required reports for clients in a timely manner. * Provides administrative and back-up support for Benefits. (e.g. open enrollment, onboarding new client, etc.) * Perform effectively at a sustained pace and produce quality work for internal and external/external customers. * Present to clients via webinar or onsite demos of HRIS systems and/or training. Physical Demands This position must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. The incumbent of this position must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. This position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as copy machine, printer, etc. The person in this position frequently communicates with employees who have inquiries about their pay and benefits; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations and must be able to inspect documents/spreadsheets for accuracy. Travel * up to 25% travel Required Education and Experience * High School diploma or equivalent. * Excellent oral, interpersonal and written communication skills. * Experience with MS Office software; strong in Excel. * Organized and detail-oriented, with high level of accuracy. * Ability to function autonomously and within a group setting. * Ability to adapt to change in the workplace. Preferred Education and Experience * Bachelor's or associate's degree in Human Resources or closely related field. * Experience with HRIS systems preferred. * Experience in producing dashboards and metrics.
