Job description
HR Generalist will help support the HR Business Partner (HRBP) in day-to-day HR administration and activities. Serve as a partner to the HR team, and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase retention.
1.Partner with HRBP and hiring managers on new hire onboarding to ensure a seamless, efficient onboarding experience.
2.Develop, implement, and manage recruitment strategies inclusive of job posting, resume review and screening, interview scheduling, candidate correspondence, and notifying candidate of the hiring decision process.
3.Conduct initial phone interviews for open positions, generate and maintain offer letters, conduct background checks, and applicant reference checks for potential new hires.
4.Act as a point of contact for general employee inquiries.
5.Provide guidance and interpretation to employees on policies and procedures.
6.Track movement across the employee cycle - new hires, transfer and/or promotion of employees into new roles and exits.
7.Responsible for the maintenance of employee files in accordance with all state and federal requirements and ensure documents are tracked and filed in a timely manner. 8. Partner with the payroll and benefits department to track employee leaves, payroll/benefits related inquiries and process workers' compensation claims.
9.Partner with HRBP and hiring managers on new hire onboarding to ensure a seamless, efficient onboarding experience.
Partner on the logistics for all in-house trainings, presentations and orientation sessions.
Partner to assist with initiatives to improve employee engagement.
Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
All other duties as assigned by Management.

Profile
The HR Generalist with Swatch Group, U.S, will be responsible for supporting HR functions and providing exceptional attention to the quality of all projects and daily routines. The HR Generalist will support the HR Business Partner with pro-active recruitment (strategy), employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
Position Reports to: HR Business Partner
Professional requirements
4+ years of HR experience with evidence of strong career growth and progression.
Bachelor's Degree; PHR or SPHR preferred
Bilingual Spanish a plus
General knowledge of HR policies, processes and Federal/State Laws, California a strong plus
Must possess Advanced computer skills (Advanced level in Microsoft Word and Excel including pivot tables and vlookup)
Well-developed interpersonal and demonstrated customer service skills
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented with a keen attention to data accuracy and strong recordkeeping skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines and time constraints
Ability to manage competing priorities
Thoughtful decision maker
Ability to interact with all levels of staff/management and work successfully in a team environment
Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information
Ability to recognize opportunity for improvement and lead change
Physical Requirements: This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the HR Generalist to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
