Job Description Job Description Job Description The HR Generalist is responsible for managing and supporting all human resources activities within the organization. This includes developing, implementing, and enforcing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

The HR Generalist also serves as a strategic partner to the executive team, contributing to the organization’s culture of quality, continuous improvement, and high performance. Additionally, this role focuses on recruitment, employee benefits administration, employee development, and fostering a positive work environment. Essential Job Duties Recruit, interview, and hire new staff members.

Conduct reference checks and background screenings. Prepare offer letters, research salary ranges, and negotiate terms with prospective employees. Oversee employee benefits enrollment, including health, dental, vision insurance, 403(b) retirement plans, and disability/workers' compensation.

Lead the annual open enrollment process, including reviewing, analyzing, and selecting benefits plans, and coordinating annual meetings with staff. Set up systems for new employees, including email accounts, time records, phones, building security, parking access, etc. Manage the offboarding process for employees, contractors, and interns.

Conduct orientation for new hires on policies, procedures, systems, and office protocols. Collaborate with managers to develop job descriptions, training plans, and professional development initiatives. Provide timely performance evaluations and feedback to employees.

Lead and organize staff meetings and retreats. Implement strategies to maintain a positive work culture and improve staff morale. Assist in resolving conflicts and disputes within the team.

Manage employee disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations. Maintain and update the Employee Handbook to reflect current laws and organizational policies. Enforce company policies and practices consistently across the organization.

Perform other HR-related duties as assigned by leadership. This version keeps the structure streamlined and focuses on the core responsibilities of the role. Qualifications Required Communication Skills:

Strong analytical abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and delegate when necessary.

Integrity & Professionalism: Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of Employment Laws:

In-depth knowledge of California and federal employment laws. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources management (preferred). Self-Management: Ability to manage individual case files independently and effectively.

Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently when required. Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
