Daikin Applied is seeking a Human Resources Generalist based at our headquarters in Plymouth, MN or in the East Division, New York down to Florida. In this critical role, you would support the East Division of our Service, Sales, and Aftermarket team. You would partner closely with Field Operations Leadership, Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. The role supports our critical operations Florida, Georgia, Virginia, the Carolinas, and many more.

What you will do:

  • Support Service and Sales Leadership with growing their business

  • Help with Daikin's continued evolution as a manufacturer of the best products in the marketplace to a Marketing, Sales, and Solutions orientated Company

  • Drives the talent strategy to attract, retain, and develop new employees in our rapidly growing business

  • Investigate and provide recommendations regarding resolution of sensitive employee relations issues

  • Support the direct selling offices (DSOs)

  • Drive continuous improvements with HR processes, procedures, and policies

  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance

  • Interview and select employees to fill vacant positions

  • Administer Human Resources transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting

  • Train management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment

  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs

  • Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization

  • Administer salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization

  • Maintain Affirmative Action Plan and ensures compliance with OFCCP regulations

  • Provide guidance on safety and environmental issues to local leadership

  • Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations

  • Travel expectations: 25%+

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of leadership and a remote workforce

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, pivot tables, etc. in Excel

  • Labor Relations experience

  • Experience in supporting a remote workforce

  • Knowledge of HRIS systems
